This is a collaboration between the Team at Anthropology from the Shed and artist Cim Sears to combine, in a revelatory way, art and science based research. Cim completed a Master of Visual Arts by Research at ECU, Mt Lawley in 2020. For ‘YAM’, Cim is the creative director, co-editor, contributing artist and curator.
I have a Master of Visual Arts by Research from ECU (2020), a Photography degree from ECU, preceded by an Arts degree from UWA. For a while I was a Social Worker for women’s health. My multidisciplinary art practice includes, printmaking processes, photography, ceramics and script. I go to the Western Desert where I draw on connections and discover narratives that are lost from memory and the historical landscape.
